What you see on the chart

Everything I read on my chart, in two scripts

Cipher Wave PRO puts an oscillator pane under the price and trend tools on the price itself. Cipher Wave Levels adds the levels price keeps coming back to.

Lower pane Oscillator

  • WavesWaveTrend fast and slow line with overbought and oversold zones, plus a VWAP wave for momentum.
  • Money flowA green / red area from the candle bodies, volume-weighted by default, so you see who is in control.
  • RSI and Stoch RSIOn the same 0 to 100 scale, in the same pane.
  • Trend flip dotsOn the oscillator: green when the trend turns bullish, red when it turns bearish. Optional extra: small dots where the waves cross in the oversold or overbought zone.
  • Divergences in a rowEvery wave and RSI swing is compared with the major swing of the last 60 bars. A divergence draws a line from peak to peak on the oscillator and a small diamond outside the waves and on price: gold for bullish, purple for bearish. The diamond grows with the number of divergences in a row (the count is shown from 2); grey means price went beyond it before the waves turned. Marked two closed bars after the peak, never repainted.
  • Cycle clockHalving, cycle-top and bear-low windows on the chart, with the anchor dates editable in the settings.

Price chart Trend

  • Trend Flip trailAn ATR trailing line that flips LONG or SHORT only on a bar close beyond it, with a soft fill that never hides the candles.
  • SFP labels"SFP long / SFP short" when price sweeps a 4h, daily or weekly range high or low and closes back inside, with where the idea is invalidated (S/L under / above). A label stays until that level is taken. Adjustable icon size.
  • Failed auction (FA)"FA long / FA short" when price fails beyond the daily or weekly range and returns, with the invalidation level and the live range lines.
  • DashboardTrend on your timeframe, the weekly and the daily, last flip, distance to the 200-week MA and the all-time high.
  • Cycle clock and 200 MAOptional Bitcoin cycle windows (halving, bear low, Fibonacci time) and a 200 SMA / EMA.
range high range low FA short (S/L above) SFP long (S/L under)

Cipher Wave Levels Second script

  • Untouched blocksDaily, weekly, monthly and yearly blocks: the last opposite candle before a move that broke its high or low, kept until price trades back into it.
  • Naked POCs and highs / lowsDaily, weekly and monthly points of control and highs / lows that price has not touched since they formed, nearest above and below.
  • Opens, value area and VWAPDaily, weekly, monthly and yearly opens, the prior day POC / VAH / VAL and the session VWAP.
  • Clean chartEvery level is drawn to the right of the last candle, coloured by timeframe, with its name and price.

What every dot and label means

Each mark answers one question about the chart. None of them is a buy or sell order on its own.

Gold diamond · bullish divergencePrice made a lower low but the waves (or RSI) made a higher low against the major low of the last 60 bars: selling pressure is fading. Drawn under the candle on price and below the waves in the pane, with a line from low to low on the oscillator.
Purple diamond · bearish divergencePrice made a higher high but the waves made a lower high: buying pressure is fading. Drawn above the candle and above the waves, with a line from peak to peak.
◆2
Bigger diamond + number · divergences in a rowTwo or three divergences one after another: the diamond grows and the count is written on price. More in a row means the move has been losing strength for longer.
◇
Hollow ◇ · early (possible) divergenceShown at the close of the candle that makes the new high or low while the waves are still weaker. It moves with a new extreme, turns into a solid ◆ when the swing is confirmed two closed candles later, and disappears if it is not. Roughly 1 in 2–3 gets confirmed.
◆M
“M” next to a diamond · major divergencePrice went beyond every swing of the last 60 candles while the oscillator stayed below its strongest swing of that window (the classic momentum-peak divergence), with a thin dashed line.
Grey diamond · no reactionPrice went beyond the divergence before the waves turned, so it did not hold. It stays in grey so you can see where divergences failed.
∕
Divergence linesOn the oscillator: 2 px from wave peak to wave peak, 1 px on the RSI line. They show which two swings the divergence compares.
Green / red dots on the oscillatorA trend flip of the Trend Flip trail: green when it turns bullish, red when it turns bearish. Optional (off by default): small dots where the waves cross in the oversold or overbought zone.
SFP long
SFP long / SFP short labelPrice swept the high or low of the higher-timeframe range (4h by default) and closed back inside. The label sits at the sweep extreme, which is the stop (S/L under / above), and disappears once price trades beyond it.
FA long
FA long / FA short labelA failed auction one level up: price broke the daily or weekly range and closed back inside on the 4h or daily close. Same stop rule as the SFP labels.
Green / pink trail on priceThe Trend Flip trail: green while price closes above it (bullish), pink while below (bearish). It only flips on a candle close beyond the line.
Horizontal lines (Cipher Wave Levels)Untouched blocks, naked POCs and highs / lows, opens and value area, coloured by timeframe (daily yellow, weekly pink, monthly purple, yearly white), with their name and price on the right.

FAQ

Questions

Do I need a paid TradingView plan?

No. You paste the source into the Pine Editor, which every plan has. On the free plan (two indicators per chart) Cipher Wave PRO and Cipher Wave Levels fill both slots: the price tools and the oscillator pane come from one script, the levels from the other.

Does it repaint?

Diamonds, flips and labels are decided on closed bars. Confirmed divergences are marked two closed bars after the peak and never move; only the hollow early diamond can change or vanish; an SFP or FA label is removed once price trades beyond its stop, so only active setups stay on the chart. Higher-timeframe values use closed bars only.

Which markets and timeframes?

It was built on the Bitcoin chart and works on any symbol and timeframe TradingView has; the money flow needs volume data, and the cycle clock is made for Bitcoin.

Does it tell me when to buy or sell?

No. It marks chart events (divergences, trend flips, SFP and failed-auction labels) and shows where each idea would be invalidated (S/L). That is a way to read the chart, not advice: no win rate or profit is claimed, and no indicator predicts price. Every decision and its risk are yours.

Do I get updates?

Yes, updates of this version are free. When the script changes, you download the new source from your download page (bookmark it). Lost it? Email support@cipherwavepro.com with your receipt.

Can I get a refund?

It is a digital download of source code, so there are no refunds once the file has been downloaded, except where the law requires it. Questions before buying are welcome on the live stream.
